Summertime rolls…
Full hotels and butts in the seats of restaurants. Vacationers and vagabonds bumping into one another on the bustling boardwalk. Parents embracing play dates and piles of watermelon seeds left on the back deck with sun-soaked towels and sandy footprints. The heartbeat of the hospitality business is on the brink of our wheelhouse…let’s go!
Each day presents a new challenge as we enter the busiest time of the year. The transient traveler tends to create and leave a little bigger mess, their expectations can be very different from the corporate traveler or the military personnel, as they are spending their personal time away from work and their hard-earned money to enjoy our Hampton Roads “riviera” of sorts and there are a lot of them! The most important thing we can do as operators is to grin and bare it and provide top notch service. We have chosen this profession, so therefore, we should strive to make our guests experience those that will leave a lasting mark on their memories, and equally as important, get them to come back!

The Cardinal Restaurant & Bar, located at Doubletree Virginia Beach, hosts live entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings beginning at 8pm, hosting DJs, live bands and music bingo and trivia.
